Everyone's talking. . . .

One day in '99, the clothing company French Connection UK ("you-kay") woke up and realized that its own name was more snappy when abbreviated.

(Or perhaps they added the "UK" in order to abbreviate the result. Anyone care to do a research project on this?)

Either way, in the summer of 2000, lots of Londoners were walking around in clothes saying "FCUK". Sometimes it was spelled out, too, e.g. "Fabulous Cleavage Under Kit".

So everyone was talking FCUK.
